Color Analysis: how it works and why you need one

Color is an element that really impacts clothes and accessories that a person chooses to wear.

To be honest, color it’s the first thing we notice in someone's outfit, right?

That’s why having your Color Analysis done is so important!

WHAT IS COLOR ANALYSIS?

Color Analysis is a test that points out the colors that complement and harmonize a person’s skin complexion, hair and eyes. Choosing the right colors can do wonders, after all that’s when our natural beauty is enhanced. When we wear those colors, we will be seen more than the clothes we are wearing. Isn’t it great?

I use the 12 - Season method, the most used. The seasons are: Clear Spring Warm Spring, Light Spring, Light Summer, Cool Summer, Soft Summer, Soft Autumn, Warm Autumn, Deep Autumn, Deep Winter, Cool Winter, Clear Winter.

COLOR ANALYSIS IS NOT A THING OF THE PAST

Don’t think this test is outdated. In fact, it’s the opposite!

It’s true that it was created in the 80s, but I always remind my clients that the test has evolved a whole lot. The idea is to make you think outside of the box and see colors with other eyes.

Plus, it depends on the way it’s done. It usually differs from one personal stylist/ image consultant to another.

What I consider vital is to contemplate the client's style and lifestyle, which might include talking a lot about different color combinations.

Once you figure out how to match colors, you’ll see how it gives a lot more possibilities to play with what you already have in your closet. Not to mention that it’s sustainable, too!

HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE PERCEIVED?

During these appointments I also talk about prints and how you should wear clothes to achieve your image goals and how you want to be perceived by others.

Another topic I like to go through is color and makeup. These two are powerful aspects of the color analysis considering that everything we wear next to our faces is the most important!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The meeting usually takes around two hours. Once it’s done, you’ll get a color palette that best suits you, and a color wheel.

Additionally, I will send you via email a digital summary of everything that we have discussed with pictures to illustrate and help you on your future outfit choices.

Read the reviews below:

"I decided to do a color analysis a couple of weeks ago and received a recommendation to do with Marcia. Since I’m new to this, she called me to explain how it works and all the benefits of doing it. We scheduled the test and that was a life changer! She has a lot of knowledge and background, explained everything to me and showed me examples of how to make my image look better just by using the right colors. I’d definitely recommend Marcia’s service and the color analysis. And for sure I see myself hiring other services from her in the near future. Thank you very much, Marcia!”

"Márcia Crivorot is a great professional ! She introduced me to my color palette, explained how I can match the colors, had a lot of patience in looking at each piece of my closet, evaluated, took pictures, suggested a few improvements and highlighted the “must have” that I can introduce slowly. In the end having this consultancy makes me have a more conscious and economic wardrobe as I was looking for."
