How to match colors: Pink and Green

Continuing the series of posts with suggestions on how to match colors, today I will talk about pink and green, also known as a Complementary Combination because they are opposite colors in the color wheel.

As you can see in the Color Wheel above, the opposite of green is in reality red. But technically we consider red every color that goes from baby pink to dark burgundy.

Besides the value (dark x light), we also contemplate the temperature and the intensity of the color, which means that there is a pink for everyone.

Yes, you read it correctly!

As an example, in this photo I am wearing a warm and soft pink (the best shades for me) with olive green pants (warm and soft green) also a great color for my complexion.

Although I love the bright pink you see on the boards below, I never actually wear it. It’s because I look better in soft and warm pinks.

Always remember that even if you prefer to have a neutral wardrobe, you can do color combinations by picking accessories, lipstick or nail polish, for example. And that is the beauty of colors, they are very democratic!
