Orange in Resort 2026: How to Wear the Season’s Happiest Color

One of the standout colors from the Resort 2026 presentations was orange. This strong presence often hints at what’s coming next, so don’t be surprised if orange shows up in the September and October Spring Fashion Weeks, and eventually, on the racks of your favorite stores.

Here are a few interesting style notes about orange, and how you can make it work for you:

1. Peach or Rusty Orange: They All Count

Orange comes in many shades. Technically speaking, a soft peach or a rich rusty tone is still an orange, just a lighter or deeper variation of the same family.

2. Orange Is, by Nature, Warm

Unlike most other colors, orange can’t be cooled down. It’s, by nature, warm. That’s why if you have cool undertones, you probably don’t have many oranges in your color palette.

3. How to Wear Orange If It’s Not Your Best Shade

Love orange but feel it doesn’t love you back? Try these tricks:

  • Wear it on the bottom half, like JW Anderson showed in his Resort collection.

  • Pair it with its complementary color, blue, for balance.

  • Use it in accessories: Hermès orange bags are famous for a reason (and it works with any brand!).

4. Orange Sends a Message

Orange is a happy, energetic color. It often conveys creativity, positivity, and playfulness, making it a great choice if you want your outfit to send that message.

5. Pair It with Neutrals

Orange looks surprisingly sophisticated with classic neutrals like camel, off-white, gray, or navy blue.

Final Thoughts

Orange is one of those colors that makes an impact, whether in a full outfit or a small accessory. As we move into Spring 2026, expect to see more of it, and maybe give it a try yourself.
