Talking About Color: A Class at the Adult School

On May 12th, I had the pleasure of teaching a class on color at a local Adult School. The class was an evening open to anyone interested in learning more about how color works, especially in everyday life.

I spoke about the basic characteristics of color:

  • Value (light vs. dark)

  • Intensity (soft vs. bright)

  • Temperature (cool vs. warm)

We also talked about hair color, including the transition to gray, a topic that often comes up in my work.

This wasn’t a full Color Analysis session, but the idea was to share clear, practical tips that participants could take home and start applying, whether they’re choosing a top, a lipstick, or thinking about their next haircut.

What I loved most was how engaged and curious everyone was. It is always exciting to see how even a small amount of color knowledge can spark inspiration and confidence.
