Twin sets are back
Not only are cardigans trendy again, but we can also see many lovely twin sets in stores.
If you don't know what twin sets are, I'm talking about a knit shirt, usually sleeveless or with short sleeves, and a matching cardigan. For many years, they were considered traditional and even old-looking. Not anymore! However, if you want to wear them, keep in mind that it's important to pay attention to how you will style them.
Knits, in general, have been trendy in the past few years mostly because they are comfortable. Comfort has been our priority in the past years, right? That's why we have been seeing fascinating knit clothing, including different styles of dresses and pants.
How are the twin sets now?
Go to any store and you will find sets of cropped tops (not the traditional shirt) and a cardigan. A nice styling tip is to keep the last buttons closed. Some sets come with both pieces cropped. This short version tends to address the younger crowd, but I'm sure they don't even know the twin set name.
How can we make them versatile?
Wear two-piece sets separately. That's right. Play around with its items. The top can come under a white shirt, for example. Just make sure to open the first buttons.
How can we style a twin set?
If you are worried about looking too traditional, it's all about how you style it. Pair it with jeans, pull the cardigan sleeves, and add simple jewelry. Why don't you put on a layer of thin necklaces? If you're lucky enough to have a vintage twin set in your closet, use these tips to make it look more current.
