Two European Brands Worth Visiting While Traveling
Of course, I visited many stores while I was in London, but I skipped the American brands and stores that we already have in New York.
When I travel, I enjoy exploring something new. This time, I had two stores I really wanted to visit:
Soeur: This French brand doesn’t have a store in New York (yet!), but you can easily shop online. I love their contemporary clothes and accessories. The pieces are elegant, with a relaxed feel, and the quality is great for the price point. Everything I tried on was true to size, and the fit worked really well for me. If their style speaks to you, it’s a brand worth keeping on your radar.

Arket: This Scandinavian brand, part of the H&M group, was launched with a sustainability mission. I first visited an Arket store in Stockholm back in 2018 and found some great pieces I still wear. Then, a couple of years ago, I visited their Paris store and wasn’t impressed: it was small, and the clothes seemed a bit dull. This time, I visited the Covent Garden location in London, and I found many excellent pieces. The style feels timeless and clean. I do find their sizing a little inconsistent, but the quality is very good for the price. I would compare it to COS, another brand from the same group. The only downside? They don’t ship to the U.S. (at least for now).

If you’re traveling to a city that has a Soeur or Arket store, I highly recommend stopping by. Sometimes exploring local or less-accessible brands makes shopping while traveling much more interesting.
What about you? Do you have a favorite brand or store you love to visit when traveling?
