What we don't see, we don't wear

When I work with my clients, I always ask how much they wear different accessories and how easy it is to see them in the morning.

If we keep our jewelry in small boxes or pouches or store our scarves on high shelves of our closets, we won't remember they exist.

What we don't see, we don't wear.

This is because we lead busy lives. We don't have time to look at or even think about them.

Recently, a client said she didn't wear accessories that much because they were all in a box, and she didn't know what to do with them.

Since her closet had an empty wall, I suggested buying hooks to hang her jewelry. Her necklaces were bold and not delicate so they wouldn't get tangled.

For earrings and rings, I recommend trays with small compartments. They work great on a shallow drawer.

The result:

Now she can see what she has. She even found two earrings that she completely forgot about!

Everything is not only visible now but also organized.

There are many ways that we can store our accessories. It only depends on our space and preference. If you have a chest drawer, you can get one of those jewelry holders for delicate necklaces. Some pieces can hold bracelets. If you don't have much space in your closet, you can get nice hooks for the wall. Think of it as a decoration piece, if you will.

What about you? Do you wear all of your accessories? Can you see them when you're getting dressed? Accessories are vital to multiplying your wardrobe and adding personality to your outfits.
