9 Looks That Inspired Me at Copenhagen Fashion Week

I always enjoy looking at Fashion Week collections, not only to see what might become a trend, but also to find new styling ideas. For this post, I chose 9 looks from Copenhagen Fashion Week that personally caught my attention. Some are from brands I already know and like, so it’s probably not a surprise that I was drawn to them.

What I found interesting is that nothing looks completely new. We have seen transparency, crochet, tailoring, and flowy silhouettes before. But the way these elements are styled feels fresh and inspiring.

Transparency, but styled differently

Transparency has been around for several seasons, but I liked seeing it used in ways that felt less obvious. It can be a sheer layer over another piece, a transparent skirt styled with something more structured, or just a small detail that changes the whole outfit.

Sometimes a familiar idea only needs a different combination to feel new again.

Crochet with tailored pieces

Crochet immediately makes us think of summer and more relaxed outfits. But paired with tailored pieces, it takes on a completely different mood.

I love this type of contrast: something handmade and textured next to something polished and structured. It’s also a good reminder that we don't always need to style an item in the most expected way.

Flowy silhouettes

I was also drawn to the flowy silhouettes. There is movement, volume, and ease, but the outfits still feel intentional.

Proportion makes a big difference here. A voluminous piece can be balanced with something more fitted or structured, but we can also play with volume in the entire outfit when the fabrics have movement.

Where I find inspiration

When I look at Fashion Week, I’m not necessarily thinking, “I need this exact outfit.” I look at the styling, proportions, color combinations, layers, fabrics, and small details. I might see an idea for something already in my own wardrobe, or think about a client who could wear a similar combination.

That is one of the things I love most about fashion. We don't need everything to be completely new to feel inspired. Sometimes it is simply about seeing something we already know styled in a different way.
