AI Can Give You a Color Palette. Then What?

Someone recently sent me another AI tool that promises to do your color analysis and face analysis in minutes. Of course, I was curious and decided to test it. The results? They weren't very accurate for me.

But that is not even the most important point. It made me think about a question I often ask my clients: What is the real purpose of a color analysis?

Many people believe a color analysis is simply about getting a palette and being told which colors to wear from now on. While the palette is certainly useful, it is only one small part of the process.

The real value is understanding your natural coloring and learning how different colors interact with your complexion, eyes, hair, and contrast level. It is about understanding why some colors make you look more vibrant while others may overwhelm you or make you look tired. Most importantly, it is about learning how to use that information in a way that works for your style and lifestyle.

You don't have to stop wearing every color that falls outside your palette. In fact, one thing I discuss with clients is how to incorporate colors they love, even if those colors are not their very best.

The same thing happens when we explore personal style. The goal is not to follow rules. The goal is self-knowledge.

When you understand your colors, your contrast, your style preferences, and the image you want to project, getting dressed becomes easier and more intentional.

AI can provide a result. But understanding how to use that information in real life is where the magic happens.

If you are curious about your colors and would like to learn how they can work for your style and lifestyle, I would love to help. You can book a Color Analysis with me in NYC here and in Westchester, NY here.
