I Finally Started My YouTube Channel
For years, clients, friends, and colleagues told me repeatedly, “You should be on YouTube.” And for a long time, my answer was always the same: One day.
That “one day” finally became part of my 2025 goals. But even then, I didn’t start because it was trendy or because I felt pressured to do it. I started when I felt ready, and that took time.
Before pressing “record,” I had many objections in my mind.
I kept asking myself how I would manage longer videos, how I would feel talking in English for many minutes, and whether I would sound natural and comfortable. I still remember how difficult it was at first to speak English on Instagram Stories, and how far outside my comfort zone it felt at the time.
Those doubts were real, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with admitting that.
One day, I was talking to Jaque Gatti, a digital products mentor, and she asked me a very simple question: “Do you like challenges?”
My answer surprised me. I said that I liked the idea of doing something new at this point in my life, even if it felt uncomfortable at first.
She looked at me and said, very calmly: “So, just do it.”
When I finally decided to start, I made a promise to myself that I would do it in a way that felt true to who I am.
I record my videos by myself, without special cameras, without a videomaker, and without a hair or makeup team. Most of the time, it is just me, my experience, and my desire to share what I have learned over the years with the women who follow my work. Is it perfect? No. Is it real? Yes.
And honestly, that is exactly what makes me proud.
On my YouTube channel, today (January 2026), you will find three new videos, some Shorts, and a very special one from 2012.
That video was filmed on the streets of New York in Portuguese, without a script, with straight hair, and with a lot of courage. When I watch it today, I smile, because it reminds me how much we grow when we allow ourselves to try, even when we don’t feel fully ready.
Growth is not about becoming someone else. It is about becoming more yourself.
You’ll Find Me on YouTube Now
YouTube gives me the space to explain things calmly, teach in greater depth, and discuss topics like color, personal style, wardrobe strategy, and confidence in a way that feels more complete and personal.
It allows me to share ideas without rushing, to answer questions more thoughtfully, and to support the women I work with beyond short posts or quick videos. In many ways, it feels like a natural extension of my work as a stylist and image consultant.
Maybe This Is Your Sign Too
Starting my YouTube channel was a personal challenge, but it was also a reminder that we are allowed to begin again, to try new things, and to grow at any stage of life.
We don’t need to wait for the “perfect moment.” Sometimes, we just need to trust ourselves and take one small step forward. Maybe this is your sign to do something this year that gently takes you out of your comfort zone, too.
Thank you to everyone who kept telling me, “You should do this,” even when I wasn’t sure I was ready. Thank you for believing in me before I fully believed in myself.
