One of the most exciting parts of New York Fashion Week is seeing what designers bring to the runway each season. It’s never just about the clothes. It's about new ideas, creativity, and inspiration that can spark fresh ways to look at our own wardrobes.

For Spring/Summer 2026, some of the strongest themes included:

  • Fringes - playful, textural, and full of movement.

  • Monochromatic outfits - a sleek way to dress head-to-toe in one color.

  • Belts - not just functional, but a key accessory to define the silhouette.Trench coats - still classic, but updated in shorter versions.

  • Turtlenecks - simple and versatile, proving once again they’re a layering essential.

  • Color palette - rich browns, soft yellows, and shades of blue remain strong.

Why Trends Matter (Even If You Don’t Follow Them All)

Checking the fashion shows is not about following every trend, and I never advise my clients to do that. Instead, it’s about understanding the silhouettes, proportions, and colors that are being highlighted.

This knowledge allows me to help each client create a wardrobe that reflects their personal style and lifestyle, while also remaining fresh and current. It’s not about starting over or changing everything, it’s about being intentional and making updates where they count.

Fashion as Inspiration

Fashion Week is a reminder that style is constantly evolving, but it should always reflect who you are. Whether it’s trying out a new detail like a belt, embracing a monochromatic look, or simply appreciating color, the goal is never to copy the runway but to translate the inspiration into your everyday life.
