Spring Layering Idea: It’s All About Collars

Spring is all about layering, but this season, a small detail is making a big difference: collars.

If you’ve been following the fashion shows, you’ve probably noticed how polo shirts and polo sweaters are being layered in unexpected ways. Collars over collars, pieces worn together in a way that feels a bit new — but still very wearable.

And the best part? You probably already have what you need in your closet.

You can try layering two polo shirts or a polo shirt with a sweater. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Play a little with the collars: leave one more open, adjust the neckline, or let one collar show more than the other.

If this feels too preppy for you, it’s all about how you style it. Add a statement earring, a bold necklace, or even mix more casual pieces with it. The idea is not to follow the trend exactly, but to adapt it in a way that feels like you.

I actually tried this myself while visiting Uniqlo with a friend. Yes, we made a bit of a mess in the fitting room, but it was worth it to see how many combinations are possible.

This is what I love about trends like this: they don’t require new purchases. They simply invite you to look at your wardrobe with fresh eyes.

If you want to make better use of what you already have and feel more confident putting outfits together, this is exactly what we work on in Style Bliss. Schedule a discovery call with me and let's talk about how we could work together.
