A Wardrobe Reset Can Start With Color

Today, one of the clients who did a color analysis with me told me she feels she needs a wardrobe reset.

She is ready to move forward in her career and realized that she hasn’t really invested in clothes since COVID. Although she has clothes, and probably too many, she told me that most of them are neutral and somewhat boring for work, and workout wear for the weekends.

The interesting part is that she actually likes colors. That’s why she decided it was time to discover her best colors and start this transformation.

After the session, I gave her a few tips that I truly believe in.

1. Shop your closet with trained eyes

Now that she knows her colors and has learned about color combinations and color psychology, it’s time to look at her wardrobe with fresh, trained eyes.

Many pieces she already owns may work beautifully with her new color palette.

2. Take daily outfit photos

Taking daily photos of her outfits will allow her to observe which ones she likes most, how she feels wearing them, and what she tends to wear on repeat.

This is extremely helpful for understanding and refining her personal style.

3. Shop with intention

When it’s time to shop, she will be able to do it with much more intention.

Not only clothes, but even something as small as choosing the right lipstick can make a difference.

That’s why I believe knowing the colors of your natural beauty and understanding your personal contrast can be a powerful starting point for the transformation she is looking for.
