Summer Mood: What My Inspiration Board Is Telling Me
As the weather slowly warms up here in New York, I find myself revisiting my summer mood board—the one I started last year and continue to update. Some of the images are new, others have been with me for a while. But what they all have in common is the feeling they bring.
It’s not about the exact clothes in the photos. I might not buy any of these pieces. What really matters to me is the mood behind them:
The softness of the fabrics, the lightness in the silhouettes, the ease of movement, the muted or sun-washed colors.
It’s about the calm energy that Summer brings—the slower pace, the longer days, the simple act of getting dressed without overthinking it.
I’ll keep adding to the board, taking things out, and letting it evolve. It’s one of the ways I stay connected to what I really want to wear—not based on trends or rules, but on how I want to feel in the new season.
Do you create mood boards too? Whether it’s on Pinterest, a saved folder, or cutouts on your wall, it can be a powerful way to clarify your style and reset your wardrobe with intention.
If you’d like help translating your mood board into real outfits, my Styling Hour is a great place to start.
