Winter wardrobe essentials

If you've been following the news, It's freezing in New York this week. So I decided to share my must-have Winter weather essentials with you.

  • I love the heattech shirts by Uniqlo. My favorites are the scoop neck and turtleneck. I wear the scoop neck style when I don’t want it to show up at all. On the other hand, I put on the turtle neck to play with different textures and colors. In this case, just the collar will be visible.

  • A soft and warm cashmere sweater is the best second layer. I add another one (a cardigan, for example) if it's too cold. My second option is merino wool or a mix of both.

  • Because I need extra protection for my ears, a beanie or an earmuff made of wool or cashmere is mandatory for me.

  • I like to tie a cashmere pashmina around my neck. It's light, cozy, and effective.

  • My favorite gloves are made of leather with a cashmere lining.

  • When the temperature goes below 32ºF, I wear my puffer down coat all the time. It makes me feel comfortable and warm. If you live in a place as chilly as New York, it’s important to invest in high-quality outerwear because they last for a long time. I have worn the same coat since 2011.
