My New York Fashion Week Experience: Showrooms, Designers, and Inspiration

During New York Fashion Week, I attended events at showrooms and stores, visited a fashion show, and connected with designers and brand founders. I also enjoyed a lovely dinner with fellow stylists, hosted by the styling app I use with my clients.

Our first stop was the Pomellato showroom, where we learned about the Italian jewelry brand's history and saw many beautiful, versatile pieces. We also received a lovely surprise: a mini jewelry case personalized with our initials!

Such a beautiful pendant to add to my necklace!

Next, we headed to Eleventy on Madison Avenue, an Italian brand known for its luxurious materials. I particularly loved the subtle Fall/Winter color palette and the beautiful wool coats, some with delicate sparkling details.

Speaking of sparkling details, we received another surprise: a wool baseball cap made from the same gorgeous fabric as one of the coats, embroidered with our initials. I have never owned or worn a winter baseball cap, but I'm willing to give it a try!

Later that day, we visited the beautiful Adam Lippes showroom for a preview of the Spring 2027 collection. We also had the pleasure of hearing Adam talk about his career, share some funny stories, and share his perspective on following trends when designing a collection. We also received a beautiful silk scarf as a gift. And if you've been following me for a while, you know how much I love scarves

The following morning, we visited KZ_K by Karolina Zmarlak, a designer I already knew and whose showroom I had visited before.

Her Fall collection drew inspiration from Oscar Niemeyer, the Brazilian architect behind many of the iconic buildings in Brasília, Brazil's capital. Her designs are beautiful, with luxurious fabrics and incredible attention to detail.

It was the perfect breakfast, listening to Brazilian music as the models presented the collection.

That evening, we attended a cocktail event at Printemps, probably NYC's most beautiful store. The space itself is inspiring, especially for us stylists, and the store carries some brands that are available exclusively at Printemps in New York.

Two days later, I returned to the city to attend the House of Nova fashion show. My favorite piece? A dramatic down cape!

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to attend more shows, as I was getting ready to fly to Portugal for a Color Analysis conference, which I'll tell you about in another post.

These experiences are one of the things I love about my work. Meeting designers, learning about their creative process, and discovering new collections always brings fresh inspiration and ideas to share with my clients.
