NY Fashion Week Spring 2027 Trends

1. Transparency

Nothing new here! We have been seeing transparency for a while.

But it's important to remember that how transparency appears on the runway isn't necessarily how we will wear it in real life.

For example, you can wear a sheer skirt over a slip, showing just a little transparency at the hem. A see-through top can be layered over a simple tank top.

It's all about adapting the trend to your comfort level and personal style.

2. Chartreuse or Lime Green

This vibrant color has been around for a while, and we saw it again in clothing and accessories. Although it's usually a bright, warm color, softer versions also appeared on the runway.

Maybe it's not a color you love. In that case, just skip it!

But if you love lime green and don't feel it's flattering near your face, try wearing it as an accessory for a pop of color.

And if you're not sure whether lime green is a good color for you, you can always schedule a Color Analysis session with me, in person or virtually.

If you enjoy playing with colors, lime green can look interesting with purple. For a more subtle combination, try it with gray or navy blue.

3. Pencil Skirts

I have been talking about the comeback of skirts, especially knee-length and pencil skirts.

We saw more of them at NY Fashion Week, confirming that this silhouette will continue to be relevant next Spring.

How to style a pencil skirt without looking outdated? I'm already getting this question, so I'll share more styling ideas soon.

4. Animal Print

Animal print isn't going anywhere!

This classic print will continue into Spring, sometimes appearing in brighter and less traditional colors.

As always, you can embrace it with a statement piece or add just a small touch through an accessory.

5. Ruffles

Ruffles were another element we saw in several collections.

But instead of being just a romantic detail, they often appeared in a more dramatic way, adding volume, movement, and personality to the clothes.

A More Colorful Spring Ahead

In general, we saw more colors and a move toward maximalism compared to previous collections.

So, if you love color, interesting details, and more expressive outfits, you may have plenty of inspiration for the coming months.

And remember, you don't need to follow every trend. Sometimes, a new way of styling something you already own is all you need to make your wardrobe feel fresh.
