I’m working with a client who loves color but told me that when Fall and Winter arrive, she ends up wearing mostly black. The problem is that she doesn't really feel like herself in her Winter wardrobe.
Does that sound familiar?
It's something I hear from many women. During Spring and Summer, they enjoy wearing colorful clothes, but as soon as the weather gets colder, their wardrobes become mostly black, gray, and other dark neutrals.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with wearing black or other neutrals. But if you love color, why stop wearing it just because the temperature drops?
With this client, we're finding new ways to wear pieces she already loves, including some beautiful colorful skirts, and planning how to bring more color into her Fall and Winter outfits.
A few ideas to bring more color into your winter wardrobe:
Wear your colorful skirts with sweaters, tights, and boots.
Add a colorful scarf, sweater, or jacket to your neutral outfits.
Experiment with color combinations using pieces you already own.
When shopping for Winter clothes, look beyond black and gray. There are so many beautiful colors to choose from!
Your Winter wardrobe should reflect your personality just as much as your Summer wardrobe does.
And that's what I want for my clients: to look in the mirror and think, "Yes, that's me."
