For many women, the simplest way of adding some pops of color to their outfits is through accessories - and that includes footwear!

This is also an easy way of bringing new trends from the current season that will make your outfit look fresh and cool. Since we are transitioning from Spring to Summer, now is the perfect time to take a risk and learn how to wear the best colorful shoes for you.

Ready to swap your favorite neutral kicks for something different?

Here are some quick and practical tips:

1 - START SMALL!

The easiest way is to choose real neutral clothes and add a pop of color to your shoes.

However, we usually don't want our feet to be the focal point. We want people to look at us, not only our feet, right? So, the best thing is to match your shoes to something you are wearing near your face: jewelry, eyeglasses, sunglasses, or scarves.

They don't need to be the same color, but if it's similar, it's even better!

2 - DO BAGS AND SHOES REALLY NEED TO MATCH?

No, no, no!

Bags don't need to have the same color as your shoes. You can keep it neutral, but maybe tie a scarf that repeats the shoe color.

3 - PLAY WITH COLOR COMBINATIONS.

As I mentioned in previous posts, you don't need to wear very colorful clothes to create an interesting color combo. Choosing a small pair of earrings or a nice lipstick will be interesting in the same way.

4 - ALL-BLACK OUTFITS

In case you are wearing a black outfit, bear in mind that bright colors will pop up even more than in light-colored clothes.

That's why I recommend matching the color of your shoes to an accessory near your face (even makeup). I promise this will be a nice touch to your styling!

5 - WHICH COLOR TO BUY?

Take into consideration your personal color preferences, but also your existing wardrobe. For example, lilac shoes would look great with yellow, red, and blue clothes. That's because there is a science behind color combination, as you can see in my posts about this subject.
